How Could Someone Fall from A Train?

Dougherty & Holloway June 21, 2014

How could someone fall from a moving train?

A woman fell from a moving train going about 50 miles an hour into a wooded area in Southeast Missouri when she was traveling from Chicago to San Antonio. She was discovered walking the tracks by local residents. Amtrack employees said she probably fell from a window of an emergency exit door because they had discovered it had been opened. The woman, around 75-80 years old, was flow to a St. Louis hospital for a broken leg.

So, the issue at hand is that someone was able to exit a train moving at a high rate of speed, causing one to question “Are there no safety parameters in place to keep this from happening?”
